The 7th ANGEL will takes place in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA, home to the University of Virginia, which was founded by Thomas Jefferson in 1819 as one of the first public universities in the country.
Charlottesville is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia, 110 miles south from the capital, Washington, DC (2.5 hours driving) and only 40 miles from the Shenandoah National Park.
Travelling to Charlottesville
By air directly to Charlottesville:
Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport (CHO) is ~15 miles north of the city center and Omni Hotel.
When you arrive at CHO, you usually find taxis waiting at the airport. If you wish, you can also arrange
a taxi by phone in advance, especially if you arrive late at night. The average taxi fare between CHO and Charlottesville is $35 plus a tip (10-15%).
There is no city bus to and from CHO. Several car rental companies are available right at the terminal.

By air to Washington, DC:
One of the major international airports to Charlottesville is Dulles International Airport (IAD), located outside Washington, DC.
IAD is about 100 miles (~2.5 hours driving) from Charlottesville. There is no direct public transportation available between IAD and Charlottesville.
We recommend renting a car or making an arrangement with the airport shuttle service.

From Washington, DC to Charlottesville, VA by train:
Recently opened Silver Line of Washington Metro now extends to IAD,
enabling an option of flight to IAD → Metro to train station (Union Station) → train to Charlottesville.
The train station in Charlottesville is close (walking distance) to the Downtown Mall and Omni Hotel.
By air to Richmond, Virginia: Richmond International Airport (RIC) is ~70 miles (~1.5 hours driving) east
of Charlottesville. RIC itself is 20 miles east of Richmond. There is no bus service between RIC and Charlottesville. Car rentals are available at the airport.
