The Beilstein Journal of Nanotechnology is an international, peer-reviewed, Open Access journal. It provides a unique platform for rapid publication without any charges (free for author and reader) – diamond open access.
The GROC•UJI is engaged in basic and applied photonics research leading to technological breakthroughs in the fields of computational optics, fiber optics, phononics, beam shaping, additive manufacturing and laser synthesis of nanomaterials.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Construction encompasses the areas of industrial engineering most closely related to mechanical engineering and construction at Universitat Jaume I. It was established in 2005 following the division of the former Department of Technology, and it comprises seven areas of knowledge, eleven research groups, and approximately 120 faculty members and researchers.
