The Upper School of Technology and Experimental Sciences (ESTCE) of the Universitat Jaume I is responsible for organising education in the fields of engineering and experimental sciences, currently offering 13 degrees adapted to the European Higher Education Area, two of which hold international quality seals, as well as 12 master’s degrees and several specialisation courses.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Construction encompasses the areas of industrial engineering most closely related to mechanical engineering and construction at Universitat Jaume I. It was established in 2005 following the division of the former Department of Technology, and it comprises seven areas of knowledge, eleven research groups, and approximately 120 faculty members and researchers.
American Elements’ catalog of more than 35,000 products makes it the world’s largest manufacturer devoted exclusively to advanced materials in both industrial bulk and laboratory/research quantities allowing us to meet the needs of thousands of global manufacturers (including over 30% of the Fortune 50 and all U.S. national laboratories & military branches) in a wide range of industry fields, including energy, electronics, aerospace, defense, automotive, optics, hydrogen storage and green technology.
The Center for Nanointegration Duisburg-Essen (CENIDE) is an interdisciplinary research center at the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE, Germany) dedicated to advancing nanoscience and nanotechnology. CENIDE fosters collaboration across chemistry, physics, engineering, biology, and medicine, uniting expertise from around 100 research groups with around 500 early career researchers. It coordinates research in key areas such as catalysis, dynamic processes in solids, gas-phase synthesis of nanomaterials, magnetic materials, nanomaterials for health, and functional materials for energy applications. CENIDE bridges fundamental research and industrial implementation by providing access to state-of-the-art infrastructure, including the NanoEnergieTechnikZentrum (NETZ) and the Interdisciplinary Center for Analytics on the Nanoscale (ICAN). Through its interdisciplinary network, CENIDE contributes to sustainable solutions for global challenges in energy, information technology, and health.
The UBE Chair for Sustainable Plastics of the Universitat Jaume I designs its activities aiming at reconciling the functionality and performance of plastic materials with their environmental sustainability. In collaboration with UBE, Jaume I University fosters research, innovation, knowledge transfer, teaching, and outreach activities to advance towards a more sustainable plastic paradigm.
